We have a career opportunity for a Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator! You will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of Aspen’s health, safety and environmental programs and ensuring compliance to Aspen’s standards. Every day the expert team at Aspen Custom Trailers takes on some of the biggest heavy haul design and manufacturing challenges in North America. With more than 150 employees, Aspen rides the leading edge of heavy haul design and is widely recognized as one of the industry’s most innovative manufacturers.
Working with production management and our Team Leaders on a daily basis to ensure health, safety and environmental compliance through training, communication and when necessary disciplinary action. You are Aspen’s liaison with all Health, Safety and Environmental agencies and are responsible for ensuring Aspen is meeting all requirements. This is not an office job – you will be out in the production facility, conducting assessments, communicating with employees and looking for potential hazards.
Your degree or diploma in health and safety and more than 3 years experience working in a similar role, bring an in-depth understanding of all things related to health, safety and environmental. Your exceptional communication, interpersonal, training and leadership skills set you apart from others in this field. You are equally comfortable leading a training session for more than 100 people and working alone in your office keeping Aspen’s records accurate and up-to-date.
